Abstract

A composite roof comprises a series of ridges with south-facing panels being covered with solar energy traps and north-facing panels covered with partially reflected glass which admits incident light but reflects at least some of the incident heat on to the adjacent solar panel. Specifically claimed are structures with both the solar panels and the skylights inclined at 45 degrees. Opt. the skylights are equipped with blinds to inhibit heat loss overnight.
