Abstract

The equipment can be fitted to a powered vehicle to collect live fowls from the ground level automatically. It has a chassis (2) mounted at the vehicle front and adjustable between work or rest positions by a hydraulic or pneumatic ram (5). A horizontal rotor (11) is rotatable to move the fowls to a transporter belt to be delivered to another rotor. The frame is two beams (7) with laterally inclined mounts and joined by a stay. The rotor has curved blades to catch and move the fowls.
