Abstract

The wrapping station has a platform (72) which moves up and down obliquely with respect to the vertical. Articles (40) to be wrapped are displaced by a pusher (71) onto the platform which is then raised. The upper surface of the article engages a tensioned synthetic film (19), one end of which is held between a roller (81) of a fixed platform and a suction head (93). Roller (91) of a movable platform carries the film beneath the article so that it is enveloped.
