Abstract

A plastic knob(1) is attached to the lid(2) of saucepan or similar utensil by a clip(3). The clip(3) has a flat base (4) which is riveted or brazed to the lid(2). The upright part of the clip has sharp projections on its outer edges(5, 6) and a central slot with a projection(12) on one edge. The knob(1) has a central hole with two diametrically opposite longitudinal grooves which engage the projections on the clip(3). In addition, a leaf spring(25) moulded into the knob has a central slot which snaps over the central projection(12) in the clip(3).
