Abstract

The height of the lift of a fork lift truck can be increased by attaching two uprights to the vertical plate which normally carries the blades. The blades are fitted with guide brackets so that they can slide over the uprights. A jack is mounted at the side of each upright with the lower end of the cylinder attached to a fork projecting from the upright. The piston rod of the jack is attached to a similar ford on upper end of the vertical part of the blade so that the jacks can raise the blades relative to the uprights.
