Abstract

The antennae support consists of a hydrogen or hot-air filled balloon (2) secured at points around its surface by cables anchored in the ground or a building. The antenna can be mounted on its top surface as a single dipole (1) for VHF or UHF or as reflectors as required. Metric wave antennae are formed by conductors (3 running from the balloon to a suitable attachment point on the ground. The cable junction points (4) on the balloon may also carry warning lights if it is intended to moor the balloon at great height.
