Abstract

The contactor comprises a rotary disc driven by an electric motor 1 which is itself controlled by the contactor. A number of brushes (811-816) extend parallel to touch the conductive areas on the disc (81a, b). These areas on the disc are annular sectors arranged to make contact between selected brushes according to the position in the disc. The brushes extend by varying amounts over the edge of the disc to make contact at different points. The contactor is used with an electric motor to control the position of vehicle headlights from inside the vehicle, according to the load in the car.
