Abstract

The chair is used for orthodontology and comprises a wheeled base running on rails which form a track- a brake is fitted and the base has a vertical column mounted on it. The column holds the chair in which the patient is seated, a handwheel operating on a threaded rod to adjust the height of the chair. The column can be indexed into two positions spaced by 90 deg., a pedal operating a lock. The chair is mounted on horizontal slides and is fitted with an adjustable head-rest and a similar footrest.
