Abstract

Le fixateur externe, selon l'invention, comprend un tuteur cylindrique et des fiches convenablement filetees pour prendre appui sur la diaphyse et sur l'épiphyse supérieur du fémur. Leur pluralité d'orifices est formée sur le tuteur cylindrique pour permettre le passage des fiches. Les orifices de sortie des fiches sont disposés de sorte de permettre à la fois la visée et la mise en place de fiches obliques selon l'axe du col fémoral et la possibilité de placer les fiches diaphysaires dans un plan situé en avant du plan des fiches diaphysaires pour faciliter l'introduction des fiches supérieures dans le col qui est antiversé par rapport à la diaphyse. Le filetage des fiches est adapté à leur destinée : il est étendu et fait de larges spires pour les fiches épiphysaires ; il est peu étendu et fait des spires etroites et fines pour les fiches diaphysaires. Les mouvements de migration des fiches sont bloqués par l'emploi de dispositifs tronconiques vissés sur les fiches et qui penètrent dans les orifices du tuteur cylindrique augmentant ainsi la rigidité du système.
