Abstract

The machine folds the four bottom flaps of a cardboard box, having an insertion spout (11) with at the bottom an oblong portion, so as to fold two opposite flaps. An outlet spout (21) is roughly at right angles to the insertion one and has a support holding the boxes in position ready for filling. Opposite the outlet spout is a mechanism moving the boxes, and which folds one of the remaining flaps, having a rocking corner plate (27) whose arms work one against the box side and one against the flap. As the box is moved towards the outlet spout a support folds the final flap into place, so that filling can take place.
