Abstract

The radiographic film changer includes a film transfer mechanism. This mechanism is situated outside the exposure field between a film extractor and two pressure plates. A film gripping and rotating mechanism is arranged along the longitudinal axis of the film changer. This takes the film when it is centered on the axis. The film is turned through 90 deg. around an axis normal to the plane of the film. This enables one to obtain two exposure formats for each format of unexposed film.
