Abstract

The distributor, for ignition system of an IC engine, is designed to allow its contacts to be replaced. The casing (10) has a hole (21) through which the contact holder can be withdrawn. The hole is closed by a clip-on cover. The cover is reinforced and follows the casing's curvature. It has a spring clip fixed centrally to its inner side. The clip ends engage the inside of the casing whilst the cover rests against the outside.
