Abstract

The roof rack for securing a bicycle upside down on a vehicle, incorporates a lock to form an anti theft device. The rack consists of two cross bars which are fixed across the vehicle roof, and a longitudinal bar mounted between and supported by them. One end of the longitudinal bar is fixed onto the front cross bar, and has a clip to retain the bicycle saddle. The other end has a fitting for attachment to the rear cross bar, permitting length adjustment. The handlebars are attached to supports which can slide along the rear cross bar, and one of these supports incorporates the key operated lock.
