Abstract

The multi purpose bus has a set of retracting rail wheels set beside the road wheels so that the vehicle can be set on the track of a suburban transit system. Lateral guide rails are also fitted so that the vehicle can be driven along special bus lanes, under its own power or through pick-up rails. The rail suspension can be height adjusted so that the vehicle doors can line up with the rail platforms. The vehicle can also be hooked to the end of a transit rail vehicle.
