Abstract

The apparatus comprises a dish (3) mounted on a base (2) and surrounded on three sides by a U-shaped frame (4). On the base is mounted, so as to pivot, a heating jaw (6), having the same profile as the frame, permitting heat-sealing after the three free edges of the two sheet halves have been folded over onto a product. Each lateral branch of the jaw is associated with a flap (12) articulated about a spindle (15) longitudinal to the jaw, the flap being associated with control means such that, when the jaw is in the high position, a part of the flap is located opposite the heated face of the branch of the stirrup in question, whilst, when the jaw is in the low position, that is to say in contact with the frame limiting the dish, each flap is located laterally retracted with respect to the branch with which it is associated.
