Abstract

The handle or hand-grip may be used on sporting implements e.g. squash or tennis racquets. The handle has a rigid core (3) at least partially enclosed by a supple sleeve (5). Volumes formed between the sleeve and the core are filled with multiple layers of small hard balls (6). The external configuration of the handle, thus, deforms to follow the contours of a gripping hand. The core (3) may be of wood, metal or plastic and the sleeve and the balls may be aerated plastic and hand plastic respectively. The core may be of polygonal section with the balls in rectangular section ribs (5) along each flat, or with the balls in volumes delineated by a centric circular sheath.
