Abstract

A trouser press has a fixed vertical central plate on which the trousers are arranged so that their legs are placed on either side. Two side plates are mounted to pivot and close against the centre plate with grippers to hold the bottom each leg. The grippers may adjust along the length of the plate from an intermediary position to accommodate the required length of trouser leg. Means are provided to packge the trousers before the side plates are closed. The press has central and side plates heated by steam or electrically.
