Abstract

The motor-driven vacuum assisted hair-cutting appliance may be used by hairdressers, and cuts the hairs to an equal length. Vacuum effects are used to draw a group of hairs (7) into a tubular mouth-piece (9) and into the path of the cutters (3). The mouthpiece (9) may hve a perforated inlet (8) which bears on the scalp during cutting. The length between the inlet (8) and the cutters (3) may be varied by fitting alternative mouthpieces or alternatively the mouthpiece may be telescopic. The appliance may have a cutting system with multi-rotary cutters (3) and a single static cutter (4), may hve an electric motor (2) and may have a bag collecting the hair-cuttings.
