Abstract

Vanne à l'épreuve du feu, comportant un élément mobile d'obturation qui commande l'écoulement d'un fluide dans un canal. Elle comporte un obturateur sphérique pouvant se déplacer entre des positions d'ouverture et de fermeture. Une bague d'étanchéité, logée dans une gorge d'un siège métallique, porte constamment contre la surface de cet obturateur. Le fond de la gorge est rempli d'une manière que, lorsque cette température est atteinte et que la matière fond, la bague d'étanchéité recule dans l'espace ainsi libéré à l'intérieur de la gorge et permette un contact métal sur métal entre l'obturateur et le siège. Domaine d'application : pipelines, etc.
