Abstract

The conveyor chain comprises plastic links swivel-jointed together by horizontal pins and vertical bosses of larger dia than the pins, the bosses also being of plastic. The link body is of inverted U-section. The link body (1) is extended on either side beyond the arms (2) of the U by a transverse flange (8) whose top surface is roughly flush with that of the transverse portion of the U. In plan view, the flanges can be roughly rectangular, the longer sides being at right angles to the travel direction. Their trailing edges can be at an angle to their leading ones.
