Abstract

L'invention concerne une bande de tissu résistant à la flexion dans le sens transversal et son procédé de fabrication. La bande de tissu est caractérisée en ce qu'elle présente d'une part un tricot de base, d'autre part une trame nerveuse insérée dans celui-ci, et enfin une nappe de fils de tension courant en zig-zag dans les mailles du tricot de base sans participer à leur formation et sous une tension suffisante de manière à constituer des brins rectilignes parallèles aux fils de la nappe de trame et à passer sur une seule des faces de celle-ci, lesdits fils de tension étant de préférence constitués par des fils rétractés après tricotage de manière à déterminer l'arcure de la nappe de trame longue en direction de ladite nappe de tension grâce à des fils cabestan de gros diamètre disposés en chaîne entre leur nappe et la nappe de trame. Les bandes selon l'invention permettent notamment de constituer des ceintures pour confection de vêtements.
