Abstract
The aircraft is convertible to fly horizontally or to take off and land vertically. It has two fixed engines with two rotors whose axes converge, and the blade pitch of the one rotor canbe varied independently of that of the other. The rotors are so arranged that the aerodynamic resultant of their action can vary in a vertical plane parallel to their axes and to the lengthwise axis of the aircraft. The line bisecting the angle between the rotor axes can be parallel to the latter axis.
