Abstract

Insecticidal use of (R)- or (S)- alpha- cyano- 3-phenoxybenzyl 2,2-dimethyl-3-R-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)cyclopropane-1-R-carboxylate (I) is new. Compsns. are also new contg. (R)- or (S)-(I) and opt. a pyrethroid synergist. Activity is shown against mosquitoes, houseflies, coleoptera and lepidoptera larvae etc. Compsns. pref. contain 0.005-10 wt. % (I). Useful synergists are piperonyl butoxide and tropital. Solid or liq. vehicles may be used, together with surfactants etc.
