Abstract
Batterie constituée de nombreux éléments électrochimiques comportant des électrodes en matériau catalyseur pulvérulent et des grille d'écartement pour étayer le matériau catalyseur ainsi que des tampons presseurs pour la compression de l'ensemble du dispositif. Selon l'invention on dispose dans ce type de batterie entre les grilles d'écartement de deux éléments contigus et aux extrémite' de la batterie des corps de contact métallique 10 destinés à servir comme prises de courant, ces corps de contact renfermant une cavité Il dans laquelle on introduit un fluide sous pression en vue d'appliquer une pression de contact régulière sur le matériau catalyseur des cellules contiguës. L'objet de l'invention peut être utilisé en particulier dans des batteries d'éléments à combustible transformant au moins un réactif gazeux.
