Abstract

Disque sur lequel une information reproductible est enregistrée sous forme de créneaux écartés sur des pistes circulaires concentriques. Les créneaux représentent par exemple des signaux modulés en fréquence et leur longueur est indépendante de la fréquence de ces signaux d'information. Un faisceau lumineux analyse les pistes 108 sur le disque. La dimension du faisceau analyseur varie en fonction du rayon de la piste analysée; elle augmente avec le rayon. Cette commande de la dimension du faisceau analyseur produit une relation constante entre la dimension du faisceau et la longueur des créneaux, bien que la longueur de ces derniers varie avec le rayon des pistes.
