Abstract

Volumetric throughput measurement of single components of liquid and gaseous two-phase media uses hollow pendulum through which the medium flows. the pendulum is put into a state of undamped mechanical oscillations. The energy required to maintain a constant rate of oscillations is measured. The volumetric throughput of the medium proportional to the energy measured is estimated. The frequency of the oscillations is measured. The hollow pendulum (2) is fixed in the airtight housing (1) and is energized to oscillate by means of an electromagnetic coil. A second electromagnetic coil converts the oscillation rates of the pendulum (2) to an electrical signal.
