Abstract

The safety valve is mounted in a passage through which a medium flows between a medium-pressure source and equipment supplied at low pressure via a reducer valve. It is controlled by the medium itself as a function of the pressure of at a particular point in the passage in relation to a predetermined level. It can comprise a cylindrical sleeve connected to the passage at opposite ends, while a mobile plug inside the sleeve works against an annular seat. The end of the plug stem screws into a component with a hole in which the end of a valve control lever fits.
