Abstract

Each module has a support (2) made from expanded metal or perforated plate turned up at the edges (3). The perforated plate supports layers of insulating material (4) made from low density material. The layers are supported by cords (6) attached to leads (7). A layer of high density insulating materials (5) encircles the module. The modules are mounted side by side on the inside of a wall (11) and fixed to the wall by means of a bracket (12) which is held by bolts or studs (15). The modules provide thermal or noise insulation, the thermal insulation being suitable for high temperatures.
