Abstract

The tap has a washer (13) which is enclosed in a containing ring (14). The washer has rounded corners and a flat plane side (15). The washer seat (2) is inserted into the main body of the tap by means of the screwed cylinder (7) which mates with the outer cylinder (4) of the tap body. The top of the seat which has a parallel inner bore, is flanged and has a flat face (9) sitting on the base of the body. The conical face (10) has an inner radius (11) so that the seat is in contact with the cone at the corner (12). The washer may have a concave lower face instead of the flat face (15).
