Abstract

The supervisory and recording system is designed to monitor a number of fleeting events relative to physical magnitudes. The system has counters which transform the physical magnitudes into analogue signals and circuits which sample the analogue signals. The sampled signals are converted into digital magnitudes which are sent in real time to a fast memory. The system has a slow rate recording element and means for transferring in different time the memory contents to the recording element. The system has a memory having a capacity which only permits it to memorise a small number of events which are less than the number of fleeting events. The memory has processing elements which, in response to an event which occurs when the transfer of numerical magnitudes representative of the preceding event is not terminated, inscribed in the memory of the new event. The new event is sent to addresses already occupied by the preceding event. These addresses are regularly distributed with a predetermined periodicity.
