Abstract

The machine rolls up strip material such as paper etc. having three cylinders (2, 3, 4) whose length is at least equal to the width of the widest strip to be accommodated. The cylinders are mounted on shafts (5, 6, 7) forming an isosceles triangle, the shaft bearings at the apexes where the angles are equal being on the same horizontal plane, while those at the remaining apex are below them. Thus the cylinders form a cradle receiving the paper, and they are driven in a direction such as to roll it up. Each cylinder can be formed by a series of discs spaced along the shaft, with which they rotate.
