Abstract

Plastics bag is provided on its front and rear face with a large number of holes arranged in various ways. Specifically, more holes and a greater area of holes are present on the rear face of the sack than on the front face. The bag can be produced from a single length of film, parts of which are provided with holes arranged in various patterns. The bag is formed by folding and welding the edges laid one upon the other. Pref. the total area of the holes on the rear face amounts to at least 1/20 of the total area of the rear face of the flat sack, and twice that of the total area of the holes on the front face. The holes allow ventilation of the contents such as potatoes, carrots, etc. without interfering with the printable front face of the sack, and ensure in particular that the contents tending to be in the shade have sufficient air.
