Abstract

The roof timbering system assures continuous ventilation and can be adjusted and used for roofs with different angles of slope. The roof timber consists of a series of hinged support sections comprising two ridge bars (3) fixed to each of the sloping sides of the roof. The ends of the ridge bars (3) are fixed to at least two crosswise angle brackets (5) which are hinged together at the top. Planks (8) parallel to the ridges of the roof can be placed on the angle brackets (5). At least one coping (10) which may be made of zinc, covers the support sections and is fixed to the angle brackets. A gutter overhang (12) is formed by an inward bend in the coping (10), and by strips of waterproof brackets fixed onto the side of the ridge bars (3).
