Abstract

False-twist texturing machine consists of several treatment positions situated side by side on the same side of the machine. Each position comprises: a feed of bobbins for the yarn, a delivery device, a heating zone for the twist, and a cooling zone, a false-twisting spindle, a second delivery device, a thermal fixation zone, a third delivery device and a collection bobbins. The machine has its cooling zone and its heating zone disposed one above the other, with the longitudinal axis of the heater slightly offset in relation to the cooling zone. The offset relationship makes it possible to feed the machine from reels arranged at ground level, without entanglement during yarn passage through the various treatment devices. By arranging the cooling and heating zones above one another, it is possible to increase the length of these zones without increasing the size of the machine, whilst retaining a good run-back of twist into the heating zone.
