Abstract

The folding push chair for a child, has a frame with two rear shafts (1) extending from wheels (L) at their lower ends to profiled handles (3) at their top ends. Two inclined rails (5) converge to a wheel (8) at one end and pivoted slides (4) mounted on the rear shafts at the other. Two struts (9) are pivotally located on the rear shafts (at 10), and inclined members (11) at the same sides so that the sliding action opens the frame, and the rear shafts are nearly parallel. When opened the width is held by clasp (16) in conjunction with springs (14) between the rear shafts at the bottom. A flexible foot rest (12) is supported on shafts (13) pivoted on the struts. A suitable hammock (not shown) forms a back rest and seat.
