Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour la projection d'un fluide contenant des solides dans la colonne d'arc d'un arc à flamme libre. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à établir un arc entre une cathode 1 ayant une extrémité conique et une anode non représentée, et projeter à travers des canaux individuels linéaires 14 le fluide contenant les solides vers l'étranglement établi au départ de la colonne de plasma 18, l'angle formé entre l'axe de chaque canal 14 et l'axe de la cathode étant au plus égal à 15 degrés et les surfaces de la zone de sortie des canaux 14 étant fortement refroidies pour maintenir la température en dessous de la température pour laquelle les particules solides s'agglomèrent. Procédé permettant d'établir un arc stable.
