Abstract

The plasterboard building component is extended on site into a broad, flat element with a central plate section including angle flanges reaching from one longitudinal edge to another. The square plate is made from plasterboard and it has V notches penetrating its core. These notches extend over the whole plate length, and the thin part left acts as hinge. The groove sides are coated with adhesive, and the edges of plate may be turned over, bonded and joined to form double walled panel with flanges as spacers. These flanges are formed by narrow strips between the notches and the plate edge.
