Abstract

The magnet assembly is for a loud-speaker and does not have soft iron parts. It reduces mfg. cost without affecting the performance of the loud-speaker. The magnet assembly has a magnet, a coil and a cone, all mounted on a base. Usually, a soft iron piece is also fitted around the magnet and the coil, but in the present design, the soft iron part may not be required. The magnet assembly can have other shapers, all of which have no iron part.
