Abstract

A closure for a press, receiver comprising a cover, a bolting device, and a safety-valve incorporates means of preventing a press. being developed in the receiver when the cover is not bolted or the cover being unbolted while the receiver is still under press. The safety valve incorporates a rotating part connected to an operating handle and fitted with a cam guiding the valve body. The cam maintains the valve body off its seat in one sector of rotation of the rotary part and brings it on to its seat in the following sector. The rotative part of the valve is connected to the bolting mechanism, so that in the first sector the actuating mechanism brings the bolting device into the bolting position. In the second, it maintains the bolting mechanism in the bolted position. Problems associated with installing closures in receivers of different shapes, and operating the closure and the valve separately, are avoided. The closure can be installed in press. receivers of any form. The closure satisfies the very sever safety rules applied to the receivers of this type.
