Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil pour réaliser une exploration à l'aide des ultrasons. Dans cet appareil qui comporte une sonde d'application 1 possédant un grand nombre d'éléments transducteurs à ultra-sons 2 disposés suivant une rangée et raccordés à un dispositif de commande 4 à 17, ce dispositif est réalisé de telle manière que pour une surface d'émission prédéterminée des éléments transducteurs, il modifie, après l'émission du signal d'émission, la surface de réception active lors de la phase de réception en vue d'amener cette surface d'une valeur faible à une valeur maximale. Application notamment à la représentation d'images de coupe, obtenues à l'aide des ultrasons, de partie interne du corps humain.
