Abstract
The caravan has a fan to discharge the fumes from a gas oven into the open air, driven by either the vehicle battery or by mains. In the event of mains failure, the motor continues to be driven by the battery. The 12 volt battery (8) is connected to opposite functions of a rectifier circuit (G) which is also connected to the mains supply (N). Between the rectifier (G) and one side of the fan motor (M) is a transistor (Tr) followed by a switch (S). When the mains supply is cut off, the battery is connected directly to the motor. A potentiometer (p) is also included.
