Abstract

Dispositif de tri d'enregistrements permettant un chevauchement des opérations de tri avec le chargement et le déchargement des enregistrements. Le dispositif comporte des unités formées de deux cellules (S1L et S1R), mis à part la cellule B(S4L) et la cellule de sortie T(SOR), et des moyens d'échange et d'écoulement destinés soit à faire avancer les enregistrements le long du circuit d'écoulement en U, entre S1L et T si la comparaison des enregistrements de l'unité montre qu'ils sont dans un ordre correct, soit à échanger et faire avancer les enregistrements s'ils sont dans un ordre incorrect. Ce dispositif qui peut être réalisé selon différentes technologies telles que les bulles magnétiques ou circuits à couplage de charge, permet le tri de mots en parallèle pour n'importe quelle largeur de données.
