Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'oligomères phénol-formol. On fait reagir du phénol cristallisé broyé ou un mélange cristallisé et de naphtalène cristallisé avec une teneur en naphtalène de 14 à 58 % en poids à une température de 20 à 40 degrés C sur du formol gazeux et l'on obtient ainsi des alcools phénoliques. On fait subir aux alcools phénoliques obtenus la polycondensation en séchant et en traitant ensuite thermiquement les oligomères formés de configuration régulière ortho. L'invention trouvera des applications dans la synthèse de liants pour compositions presentant des caractéristiques en service stables. Les ouvrages préparés à partir des compositions de ce genre sont utilisés avec succès à des températures et sous des pressions élevées ainsi qu'en présence de rayonnements ionisants.
