Abstract

The plant comprises a storage tank (3) with a mains water feed (1), a feed-valve (4) which is controlled (5) by the level of water in the tank, and a motor-pump (8). The pump is controlled by a pressure-stat (11) and is sited on a pipe which leads from the tank into the domestic supply network (2). A sensor (15) may be provided to monitor a min. water level in the tank and to prevent pump activation when the level drops below this specified min. The inlet and outlet pipes may be short-circuited by a non-return valve (15) which prevents pumped water from entering the feed.
