Abstract

The equipment is for installing insulating glazing in the form of two panes of glass separated by a layer of purified air in windows originally single glazed. It comprises a channel section (1) extended by lengthwise tongues (2), and assembled to form a frame accommodating the isolating panes (3, 4). Each channel section is open on the side opposite to its tongue and faces towards the inside of the frame, and the glazing is held in place in the frame by means of a joint (7). The tongue can also be of channel section, with its opening at right angles to that accommodating the glazing, the upper edges of the channel being slightly bent over, so that the fixing screws (11) to the window frame (10) can be countersunk inside the channel.
