Abstract

a. Ce palier est du type comportant un palier à air sphérique dans lequel un film d'air lubrifiant est maintenu entre le coussinet extérieur et le coussinet intérieur. b. Suivant l'invention, il est caractérisé en ce que les matériaux du coussinet intérieur du palier et de l'arbre du rotor en céramique sont adaptés l'un à l'autre de façon que l'intervalle existant entre cet arbre et ce coussinet intérieur soit maintenu sensiblement constant sur l'ensemble du domaine de variation des températures et des vitesses de rotation de la turbomachine, et en ce que les diamètres d'ajustage du coussinet intérieur et de l'arbre sont adaptés l'un à l'autre, de façon que, lorsque la turbomachine tourne à une faible vitesse, une liaison par frottement existe entre le coussinet intérieur et l'arbre, un film d'air dynamique lubrifiant s'établissant par contre aux vitesses de rotation élevées entre l'arbre et le coussinet intérieur. L'invention est applicable notamment aux turbomachines à rotor en céramique.
