Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de diacétylbenzène en utilisant une réaction d'oxydation en phase liquide. Selon l'invention, on met en contact un mélange hétérogène de A environ 98 à environ 25 % en volume d'une phase liquide organique contenant au moins un composé choisi dans le groupe consistant en diéthylbenzène et éthylacétophénone et B environ 2 à environ 75 % en volume d'une phase liquide aqueuse contenant, comme catalyseur, au moins environ 0,01 mole/1 d'au moins un sel soluble dans l'eau d'un métal choisi dans le groupe consistant en manganèse, cobalt, nickel, chrome, cuivre et fer et ayant un pH de l'ordre de 1 à environ 6 avec un gaz contenant de l'oxygène moléculaire à une température comprise entre environ 100 degrés C et environ 180 degrés C sous une pression comprise entre environ 1 et environ 50 kg/cm**2 pour effectuer la réaction d'oxydation en phase liquide; on sépare le mélange réactionnel liquide résultant en phase liquide aqueuse et phase liquide organique; et on récupère le diacétylbenzène de la phase liquide organique séparée par distillation. L'invention s'applique notamment à la préparation de divinylbenzène ou de diamine aromatique.
