Abstract

Frein à disque. Un disque relié à une roue d'un véhicule (ou à une roue double) est monté pour tourner dans un boîtier fixe par rapport au véhicule. Le disque présente deux surfaces planes de freinage et peut se déplacer en translation axiale d'une mesure limitée. Il coopère avec une série annulaire de sabots de freins mobiles axialement, sur chacune de ses surfaces. Le freinage est commandé pneumatiquement à l'aide d'un soufflet annulaire expansible et flexible, le jeu initial disque-sabot étant réglé hydrauliquement à l'aide du soufflet Le disque présente plusieurx canaux espacés sensiblement radiaux prévus pour l'admission d'air atmosphérique de refroidissement dans la zone centrale du disque, afin d'accroître la dissipation de la chaleur dégagée lors du freinage. Application à différents types de véhicules, notamment de grande taille, tels que des camions, semi-remorques ou analogues.
