Abstract

The masonry paving slab (1) has at least four feed (2-6) projecting from the bottom face and includes screw-jacks (2p to 6') in those feet which are functional. The use of the screw-jacks enable the slabs to set accurately for level when installed in pedestrian zones etc. The inner foot (4) is offset from the centre of the slab thus permitting its use in split half modules. Typically the slab may have four corner feet (2, 3, 5, 6) and one offset inner foot (4). The slab (1) is split along a centre line and the half with three feet (2, 15), each equipped with screw-jacks (2', 4', 4'), is usable.
