Abstract

a. Procédé de préparation d'un copolymère fluoré possédant des groupes échangeurs d'ions; b. Le copolymère fluoré possédant de 1 à 50 moles % d'un composant possédant un groupe fonctionnel, groupe acide carboxylique ou groupe qui peut être transformé en groupe d'acide carboxylique, est préparé par copolymérisation d'un monomère insature éthylénique fluoré et un monomère fonctionnel possédant le groupe fonctionnel en présence d'une source initiatrice de polymérisation dans un milieu aqueux sous une pression supérieure à 7 kg/cm**2 pour obtenir le copolymère possédant un poids moléculaire élevé (TQ supérieur à 150 degrés C) et une capacité d'échange d'ion de 0,5 à 4 meq/g de polymère sec; c. Ce copolymère est utilisé comme membrane échangeur d'ion par exemple dans l'électrolyse d'une solution aqueuse d'électrolyte.
